Supporting children following a critical incident

Our thoughts are with all those affected by the tragic events in Manchester on Monday night.

This kind of news is hard enough to process as an adult, and many of us will struggle to explain it to our children.

BBC Radio Scotland spoke to psychologist Emma Kenny and Nicky Cox, the editor of children’s newspaper First News, about the importance of being open and reassuring in discussions with children.
