Dad Matters is a new project based in Tameside.
We aim to help dads have successful relationships with their families, and to support dads with anxiety, stress and mental health issues. We hope to get dads engaged with services that have traditionally been targeted at mums, and to train & support volunteer dads to work with us. Our team is made up of specialist staff from Home-Start HOST and the Tameside Early Attachment Service (NHS).
We will be working directly with dads of under-2s, including dads-to-be, step-dads, male primary carers and anyone who feels our support might help them be the dad they want to be.
If you have any questions about Dad Matters, or would like to volunteer to support other dads, please call Kieran on 07713 196 391, or visit the Dad Matters website.
We’ve just got our new website up and running, and we’re looking to find out a bit more about the dads who want our support. We’ve put together a short survey, and would really appreciate your input!
