Home-Start Greater Manchester Presents: In Conversation with Dr. Dan Wuori – Playful Early Development Event
Join us for a unique event about the vital role of play in early childhood development, with internationally renowned expert Dr. Dan Wuori. The beauty of Dr Wouri’s work is that it creates a space that parents, early years professionals and policymakers can come together and learn.
The Event
Dr. Dan Wuori, Founder and President of Early Childhood Policy Solutions and a global advocate for playful learning will share his expertise on how everyday play shapes young minds and explore the science behind creating joyful, nurturing environments for children. He’ll be in conversation with Rachel Hover and guests. Rachel is a Postgraduate Researcher at Manchester Metropolitan University, a midwife and a health visitor. She has been working alongside Home-Start for the last 4 years using appreciative conversations to listen as families share their stories of family life.
Play isn’t just fun
Play isn’t just fun, but the foundation for a child’s future. Through playful moments, children develop language, motor skills, and emotional intelligence. This event offers an opportunity to:
- Discover how play fosters brain development.

- Hear from a globally respected expert with over 30 years in early years leadership and research.
At Home-Start Greater Manchester, we believe in empowering parents and professionals to give children the best start in life. This event is part of our ongoing mission to champion the transformative power of play and nurture happy, thriving families.
