Dad Matters

Make a real difference to dads of all kinds by becoming one of our invaluable volunteers.

Volunteering with Dad Matters

Dad Matters is a project which aims to reach, engage and support dads in the perinatal period (pregnancy to 2yrs) with attachment and bonding, mental health, supporting partners and accessing services.

Our volunteers contribute invaluable lived experience, and are uniquely placed to help dads who are expecting a baby, or have a new baby or toddler, to navigate the challenges of mental health and parenthood.

What could I do as a volunteer?

Outreach

Meet dads at different venues, distributing resources and having a chat about some of the challenges they may be experiencing.

Dad Chat

Facilitate group discussions in partnership with antenatal groups, providing a supportive space for dads to talk about their concerns and ask questions.

Online Support

Help us monitor and moderate our online support groups and contribute your personal experiences.

Events & Walk-and-Talks

Provide support at dad and baby events across different venues, including our regular Walk-and-Talk events in local parks.
